Meclizine Information
Uses
Meclizine is an antihistamine used to treat and
prevent nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion
sickness. It may also be used to treat other conditions
as determined by your doctor.
How To Use
Follow the directions for using Meclizine provided
by your doctor. IF YOU ARE TAKING MECLIZINE TO PREVENT
MOTION SICKNESS: take it at least 1 hour before you
travel. STORE MECLIZINE at room temperature, away
from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF MECLIZINE
and you are using it regularly, take it as soon as possible.
If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed
dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do
not take 2 doses at once.
Side Effects
SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include
drowsiness or dry mouth. If they continue or are bothersome,
check with your doctor. If you notice other effects
not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
